CREATE Enters the Implementation Phase: Tanzanian Partners Prepare to Train 300 Agro-VET Learners Using Newly Developed Project Resources

From development to action: CREATE training materials and tools are ready to support agricultural vocational learners across Tanzania

The CREATE project has reached a major milestone in its journey to strengthen agricultural vocational education and training in Tanzania.

Following an intensive period of research, stakeholder consultation, curriculum development, and resource creation, the project’s educational materials, training modules, operational tools, and institutional support resources are now ready to be deployed within the Tanzanian Agro-VET ecosystem.

This marks the beginning of one of the most important phases of the project: the direct implementation and validation of CREATE results with learners, educators, and vocational training institutions.

Starting in July 2026 and continuing until October 2027, Tanzanian project partners will lead an extensive training and capacity-building programme that will engage approximately 300 agricultural VET learners. During this period, participants will have access to newly developed learning resources focusing on sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, green competences, modern agricultural practices, and innovative approaches to vocational education.

The implementation phase will be led by the Tanzanian vocational training providers DABAGA and KILACHA, which will integrate CREATE resources into their educational activities and involve learners, trainers, institutional staff, and neighbouring educational communities. Through practical training sessions, workshops, and learning activities, participants will be able to test and apply the knowledge, competences, and tools developed throughout the project.

Beyond the direct involvement of learners, the piloting phase will also provide valuable opportunities for trainers and institutional staff to familiarise themselves with innovative educational approaches inspired by European vocational education practices. This will contribute to strengthening institutional capacity and supporting the long-term sustainability of project outcomes.

A particularly significant role will be played by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET), which will act as a strategic multiplier within the Tanzanian VET system. Through its extensive network and institutional outreach capacity, NACTVET will promote the dissemination and uptake of CREATE resources among vocational education stakeholders across the country.

By sharing project materials, methodologies, and tools with its associated institutions and partners, NACTVET will help ensure that the benefits of CREATE extend well beyond the project’s direct beneficiaries. This approach strengthens the potential for systemic impact and supports wider adoption of innovative practices across the national vocational education landscape.

The implementation period will also serve as an important opportunity to gather feedback from learners, trainers, and institutions. Their experiences and recommendations will contribute to the further refinement of project resources and help ensure that the developed materials remain relevant, practical, and responsive to local needs.

For the CREATE consortium, this milestone represents the transition from development to impact. The project is now moving beyond the design of resources and entering the stage where real learners, educators, and institutions begin to use them in practice.

By supporting 300 Agro-VET learners and engaging a wider network of vocational education actors, CREATE continues its mission to contribute to a more resilient, innovative, labour-market-oriented, and sustainable agricultural vocational education system in Tanzania.
