MIND Project Progresses with Planning of Strategic Workshops to Strengthen Ukrainian VET System Resilience
The MIND Project, a Capacity Building initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, is taking a significant step forward in its mission to support the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. Following a successful Kick-Off Meeting in January 2025, the consortium is now entering a crucial phase dedicated to the assessment of current gaps and the planning of strategic, targeted workshops.
Project partners are convening to design a series of workshops that will be implemented in the coming months. These sessions will focus on enhancing the Ukrainian VET system’s resilience, with the goal of co-defining internal strategies tailored to the needs of individual partner organizations. Each workshop will address a critical thematic area:
– Private Sector and Stakeholder Engagement
– Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Identification and Management
– Responsiveness to Labor Market Needs and Changing Skills
– EU Tools and Framework for VET
Each workshop will be led by the partner with the most relevant expertise, ensuring depth and quality in delivery. A collaborative, participatory approach will guide the methodology, using breakout sessions, peer exchanges, and case studies to draw out insights from Ukrainian partners.
The workshops will assess VET systems in Ukraine against macro-areas and specific actions linked to each theme, helping define challenges, opportunities, and practical recommendations. A structured process of documentation will feed into the creation of key project deliverables, the “Internal Strategies for Growth and Relevance of VET” tailored to the needs of each Ukrainian partner of the consortium.
To ensure the workshops reflect the real needs on the ground, the MIND project is currently conducting a gap and needs assessment using a dedicated survey. The project invites all interested Ukrainian VET institutions – including those not formally involved in the consortium – to participate in this survey. Your input can strengthen the foundation of this work and expand the data pool for a more inclusive, evidence-based strategy.
