Rural Entrepreneurship Leveraging Advanced training for Young farmers: the YOUNG FARMERS proposal has been approved!

On September 2020, the Erasmus+ National Agency in Bulgaria communicated the approval of the YOUNG FARMERS – Rural Entrepreneurship Leveraging Advanced training for Young farmers proposal, under the KA2 Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training.

Low digital skills combined with the missing integration of Digital tools, are two factors that inhibit the competitiveness of young farmers’ business and the exploitation of missing opportunities. There is the existing necessity to valorise, enhance and support these fragile working categories leveraging on innovative entrepreneurial solutions applied to agriculture.

YOUNG FARMERS aims to valorise a sustainable and competitive growth path for young farmers providing them a set of training tools properly customised on their major needs. The content of the training addresses:

  • Communication and ICT skills
  • Digital and innovative management models for agriculture
  • Internationalisation and EU single market
  • Challenges and opportunities consequent to the adoption of such business framework
  • EU initiatives for young farmers

YOUNG FARMERS will be co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission and will last 24 months between 2020/22. The project has been submitted and will be implemented by a partnership of seven organisations from five European countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland and Spain).

In the Project, IHF asbl brings its expertise and experience as a key social player in international and European projects. In particular, IHF asbl ensures the “European Dimension” of the Project as it carries out all the technical tasks from a “European Perspective”, i.e. carrying out analysis of relevant EU policies and initiatives; extrapolating EU relevant case studies, lessons learned and best practices.
