IHF asbl in Rome for the Kick-Off Meeting of GREEN SEAL, an Erasmus+ Project

IHF asbl was in Rome on February 6th and 7th for the Kick-Off Meeting of Antidoping Green Seal, a Project co-founded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, Sport, Collaborative Partnerships.

GREEN SEAL is a two-year Project implemented by a Consortium of 6 Partners from 6 European countries (Belgium, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom).

GREEN SEAL addresses the issue of doping in recreational Sports environment and will develop comprehensive preventive actions to tackle doping use in recreational Sports among youngsters.

Such preventive actions will be defined according to an accurate evidence-based assessment carried out through both primary and secondary research activities, ensuring a bottom-up approach which will produce outcomes fully relevant and consistent with the actual needs of the target group.

The Consortium kick-started the Project implementation by planning activities of Intellectual Output 1 to analyse the problem of doping in recreational Sport environments. Then, Partners outlined Dissemination activities by agreeing on use of both Online and Offline means to give great visibility to Project actions and results. Three Multiplier Sport Events are envisioned during the GREEN SEAL lifetime to foster Project visibility and to spread Project Methodology and Outputs.

The Kick-Off Meeting also represented a great opportunity for Partners to meet each other and reach a common understanding of the work programme.

In GREEN SEAL, IHF is the leader of Work Package 4 – Communication and Dissemination and will coordinate Partner’s efforts to ensure the widest possible visibility to the Project. Furthermore, IHF will organise a Multiplier Sport Event in Brussels in 2019 to disseminate the Ethical Code GREEN SEAL.
