Digital Competences and Skills: IHF Organised in Brussels the Kick-Off Meeting of DELSA, an Erasmus+ Project

6th December 2018, Brussels

8 Partners from 6 European Countries (Belgium, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain) were hosted by IHF asbl in Brussels on 6th December, 2018 for the Kick-Off Meeting of DELSA – Digital Empowerment for Low Skilled Adults, a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, Key Action 2, Strategic Partnerships for Adult Education.

DELSA addresses the issue of low digital competences and skills and will develop immediate and concrete training and educational resources to advance digital abilities of low skilled adults.

Such resources will be defined according to an accurate evidence-based assessment, ensuring a bottom-up approach which will produce outcomes fully relevant and consistent with the actual needs of the target group.

During the meeting, the Partners had the opportunity to introduce themselves and got to know each other in depth. After the presentation, an overview of DELSA was given and all Partners agreed upon the URL websites and Project logo.

The Consortium kick-started the project implementation by planning specific activities to analyse the phenomenon and produce project outputs. Then, Partners outlined Dissemination activities by agreeing on the use of both Online and Offline means to give great visibility to project actions and results. Multiplier Events in each project country are envisioned during the DELSA lifetime to foster project visibility and to spread its methodology and outputs.

IHF brings in DELSA its expertise and experience as a key social player in international and European projects. In particular, IHF ensures the “European Dimension” of the project as it carries out all the technical tasks from a “European Perspective”, i.e. carrying out analyses of relevant EU policies, trends and initiatives; extrapolating EU relevant case studies, lessons learned and best-practices.

IHF guarantees a presence of the project in Brussels also from a dissemination and exploitation perspective, ensuring that project activities and outputs are properly showcased in the most relevant EU and international settings.
