ENSEMBLE: 2nd Transnational Project Meeting in Malaga

IHF was in Malaga to join the 7 partners from 5 countries (France, Belgium, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia , Italy, Spain) for the 2nd meeting of ENSEMBLE on 22nd and 23rd May 2018.

ENSEMBLE – “Non Formal Skills to Empower Migrants and Boost Local Economy” is aimed at developing and validating an innovative NFIL mechanism by focusing on migrant needs that will help VET’s educators to identify and assess the NFIL professional competences of migrants groups allowing them to play a central role in the integration process. The Project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission and the ENSEMBLE Consortium represents VET institutions, NGOs and Research Institutes.

During the meeting Partners had the chance to finalise Intellectual Output 2 by revising the IO2 report “Migrants’ and Educators’ needs and learning dynamics”, that consolidates the findings of secondary research and primary research obtained through a well-structured survey. The survey involved three target groups: migrants, VET operators and institutional stakeholders and was carried out by partners in 5 countries.

The key findings of the report will be the basis for the development of Intellectual Output 3, a Toolkit for VET operators dealing with migrants, to better interact with them and enhance the effectiveness of VET solutions and pathways leading to stronger integration.

In the ENSEMBLE project, IHF asbl will coordinate the implementation of O2 – Report on needs and learning dynamics- support project management and most importantly carry out dissemination and exploitation activities at EU level.
